Acer Aspire One



After Asus Eee PC and WIND from MSI, here comes the Acer Aspire One which is the latest low cost mini notebook from Acer. It was first introduced at the Computex trade show in Taipei on Tuesday.



To no one's surprise, the Acer Aspire One comes with the Intel Atom Processor, and running Linpus Linux Lite. Here's the detail spec of Acer Aspire One:

- Intel Atom @ 1.6Ghz
- 512MB of RAM
- 8GB of SSD.
- 8.9" LED-backlit 1024×600 screen
- 3hrs (3-cell) and 6hrs (6-cell) battery options
- Size: 248mmx170mmx29mm
- Colors: sapphire blue, seashell white, golden brown and coral pink
- OS: Linupus Lite OS

Acer will make this product available starting from 2nd July, and the price will be $379. A Windows XP version with 1 GB RAM and 80GB hard drive will then be available later in the same month. The price for the Windows XP version is still unknown.

Sony VAIO Pink Laptop

Sony VAIO is the brand that will meet your requirement most of the time. Compare to Dell, Sony VAIO laptop have higher style, higher spec, and of course higer price. Most of them have a starting price of $1000 and above, with the exception of CR and NR series.

Not all of the laptop models from Sony VAIO comes with pink color option. CR, NR, SR and TZ series are the four laptop models from Sony VAIO which are currently available in pink. Here's the overview of each of these laptop models:


1. NR series

The Sony VAIO NR series laptop is the cheapest out of all Sony VAIO laptop lines. It's the only laptop from Sony that has a starting price of less than $800. 2. CR Series

4. SR series

Lenovo Upcoming Mini Laptop

Lenovo is coming up with a new mini laptop model - IdeaPad S10. Reported by Crunch Gear, the upcoming Lenovo netbook will begin shipping in early October:

"In the latest string of netbook offerings comes Lenovo with the S10. The LED-backlit 10.2-inch screen netbook is small, but doesn’t skimp on the features. The keyboard might be cramped for some because it’s been reduced in size by 15 percent, but what would a netbook be without a couple caveats. The S10 will come with Windows XP (for reals, Yay!), two USB ports, a 4-in-1 multicard reader, an Express Card slot and built-in Wi-fi.

Powered by an Intel Atom processor, the S10 comes in two flavors: one with 512MB of RAM and an 80GB HDD with the other option including 1GB of RAM and a 160GB HDD. The S10 starts out at $399 and will begin shipping in early October. "

Also, rumors have stated that the little Lenovo IdeaPad S10 will be initially rolled out in white or pink color options. The following YouTube video is believed to showcase a prototype of the new IdeaPad S10.

Fujitsu LifeBook U2010 Officially Announced

Fujitsu has has finally announced the LifeBook U2010 netbook / convertible laptop officially.

The LifeBook U2010 will be available in 5 colors : Pink Gold, Cool Silver, Ocean Black, Fuschia Red, and Luminous Blue. The laptop specs will include a 1.6GHz Atom processor, an 8 hours of battery life from the extended battery, a 5.6-inch WXGA display, a built-in 1.3-megapixel webcam, and an optional 64GB SSD drive (or a standard 60GB hard drive). The price and release date for this laptop is still unknown.

Nine New Intex Laptop Unveiled in India

They comprise of Lifestyle Book, Gaming Book, Tablet Pad, 3 variants of Business book and 3 variants of Education Book.


The Lifestyle Book targets working women. With pink, black and white color options, and weighing only 1.8 kg, this model of laptop offers working convenience to women with 12.1-inch TFT LCD screen and Intel Dual Core processor. It is priced in the range of Rs 33,000

The Gaming Book is a high-end laptop designed especially for gaming enthusiast. It sports the Intel Centrino technology with Nvidia Graphic Power and has a hybrid TV tuner card. The price of the Gaming Book is approximately Rs 75,900.

With a 12.1inch TFT touch screen that can be rotated through 180 degrees, the Tablet Pad is designed for professionals looking for gadgets that make a style statement. This laptop weights only 2.1 kg.

The Intex Business Book variant comes in 15.4 inch and 13.3 inches size screens. It features a HDMI port, security features of finger-prints and hotkeys to play music. It is priced between Rs 32,900 to Rs 42,900.

The Education Books are low-end value for money. As the name suggests, they are targeted at students. With rudimentary features the price for the education books varies from Rs.25900 to Rs.29900.

Pink Laptop: Ming Jong MID Ultra-Mobile Laptop

Ming Jong, a Taiwanese computer manufacturer launched a Mobile Internet Device (MID) which comes in light glossy pink color.

Dell Unveiled a New Range of Precision Laptops

Dell unveiled a new range of Precision laptops: the M6400, M4400 and the M2400, featuring all-new designs and colored lids.

So what can you expect from the new Precision laptops?

"In the M6400 17-inch flagship "concept" Dell is offering up to 16GB of RAM, 1TB RAID storage, 100% Adobe RGB color gamut in an LED-backlit display, and high-end NVIDIA Quadro graphics. The M4400 starts at $1,569 and has space for up to 8GB of RAM, while the M2400 weighs a mere 4.77 pounds and starts at $1,449."

Dell Offer Special Art Edition (Mike Ming) For the Studio Laptop

Dell has introduced the Mike Ming Edition Studio laptop today.

If you are not satisfy with the orginal plain design of the Studio laptop, you could now choose to get the special Mike Ming edition Studio laptop with five different special design: Sunburst, Red Swirl, Seaweed, Sea Sky, and Bunch O Surfers.

Base on the specifications and the individual notebook sizes, they are categorized into Standard and Extreme models. Standard models come with 2GHz Core 2 Duo and a Mobility Radeon HD 3450 in the Studio 15 or a 2.16GHz Core 2 Duo and Mobility Radeon HD 3650 fit into the Studio 17, and up to 2GB of memory and a 250GB hard drive. While for the Extreme models, the memory will go up to 3GB and hard drive capacity to 320GB.
